Patrick Bishop and their map

Hi I'm...

Patrick

My job at Luckies involves...

A lot of traveling! I cover our international trade customers so get to visit lots of different countries with work.

My favourite Scratch Map is...

Capitals Edition Scratch Map. The all black top foil layer looks really slick, and contrasts nicely with the vibrant colours underneath.

Caribbean dreams

My most embarrassing/funniest travel story is...

We were having dinner in Puno (Bolivian border) before taking a night bus to Cusco. Through a combination of the altitude and the food, I was ready to throw up at any minute, and not liking the prospect of getting on a bus for 9 hours. At which point a couple of my mates who were clearly feeling fine decided to share a guinea pig across the table, and proceeded tear it apart right in front of my face. That was an interesting journey...

My favourite travel photo I’ve taken is...

After a long hot day of cycling and a 3 hour climb - this was the reward. Got there just in time to catch the sun going down. Worth every minute.

Mont Ventoux, Southern France

My best travel hack/accessory is...

Headphones – even a train to work is unbearable without them.

The next item off my travel bucket list will be...

The Caribbean

The best place I've ever been to is...

Peru – the 4 day trek to Machu Picchu was hard but beautiful. The view of the stars that you get being that remote and at that altitude are like nothing you’ll ever see in London!

My dream travel destination is...

Nepal – I love mountains and the Himalayas are the ultimate mountains.

Macchu Picchu, Peru - The Incas had removable roofs for better stargazing*
